A small cellar with a long memory. We buy direct, taste blind, store properly and deliver fast — so the bottle you open is exactly the one we fell for.
Trove Spirits began in 2013 above a hardware shop: forty whiskies, a borrowed ledger and a delivery bike. Marguerite had spent two decades as a cooper in Speyside and was tired of watching good casks disappear into blends. So she started buying them herself.
Thirteen years later the principle hasn't moved. We still buy direct from the people who make the liquid, we still taste everything blind before it earns a shelf, and we still refuse to list a bottle we wouldn't open ourselves on a Friday night.
“A great bottle is a decision someone made twenty years ago. Our job is simply not to ruin it.”Marguerite Vance — Founder

We buy direct from distilleries and estates — no grey market, no mystery provenance. Every case is traceable to its cask or vintage.
Nothing reaches the shelf until our three-person tasting panel signs it off blind. If it doesn't earn its place, we don't sell it.
Climate-held at 13°C and 70% humidity, bottles upright, cases in the dark. What you open tastes the way the maker intended.
Double-walled, suspension-moulded shippers rated for glass. Under 0.2% of our deliveries arrive damaged — and those we replace same-day.
Twice a year our buyers walk the warehouses of Speyside, Jalisco, Cognac and Bordeaux, tasting from cask before anything is bottled.
Samples come home unlabelled. The panel scores on nose, palate and finish alone — reputation and price tag are removed from the room.
The bottles that survive get bought outright, often the whole allocation. That's why our rare shelf moves fast and rarely returns.
Trove Spirits opens as a single-room merchant with 40 whiskies and one delivery bike.
First direct cask purchase — a 1998 Speyside hogshead, bottled at natural strength.
The climate-controlled cellar opens, tripling what we can hold and hold properly.
Agave programme launches after eighteen months of visits to the Jalisco highlands.
Six curated collections, 38 countries, and next-day delivery across the country.

Thirteen degrees, seventy percent humidity, upright and in the dark. We log every case in and every case out — so the whisky you order in August tastes the way it did when we bought the cask in March.
